The compensation amount for your business will be determined by various factors, including the volume of Visa and Mastercard transactions processed by your business during the eligibility period and the specific terms of the settlement. Generally, the higher the number of transactions, the greater your potential award.

The amount you receive from the settlement fund will be determined by the actual or estimated interchange fees related to Visa and Mastercard transactions between you and your customers from January 1, 2004, to January 25, 2019. Each authorized claimant’s compensation will depend on several factors, including the total amount available to pay all claims, the overall dollar value of valid claims submitted, management and notification costs of the case, applicable taxes on the settlement fund and related tax costs, attorney fees and expenses, as well as incentive payments for claimants under Rule 23(b)(3) for representing merchants in MDL 1720, which led to the Group Settlement Agreement, all of which have been approved by the Court.
